Soulmate, Myself:
Omega Point

Quantum possibility issues as “random draw,” thereby maintaining entropy in the universe. However, Universal Consciousness, to effect its plans, overcomes entropy. The major events in the lives of destined lovers are not random occurrences but represent purposeful orchestration.

In the “Evolution” articles the principle of entropy was discussed. Everything in the universe is running down, leading to a climactic future “lights out” in 100 billion years when all the stars of the cosmos will have burned themselves out.

Physics professor Amit Goswami has stated that, as a general rule, quantum possibility invariably directs happenings of the world to unfold according to a “random draw” or, we might say, a bell-curve distribution.

But when Universal Consciousness seeks to effect its plans, it will “inject energy” into the system to produce non-random purposeful events. We see this dynamic in play in the lives of Twin Souls.

John and Mary, among the many “fish in the sea, happen to meet. Their coming together is an artifice of accident, chance, where you attended school, fortune or the lack of it. They will be together but temporarily, as their union, at best, will not survive transition to the other side. The lessons they learn from each other, in a general sense, might be learned from any of a number of potential mates.

But it’s different with Twins. Destined lovers, as discussed in “The Wedding Song,” represent an apex of humankind’s evolution. As such, Universal Consciousness does not throw them to the winds of chance and randomness but will actively shepherd the major events of their lives. No entropy for them.

Kairissi. This is an interesting topic, isn’t it. It means that all the “stage props and settings” of our early lives weren’t just a role of the dice.

Elenchus. It wasn’t an accident that we grew up next door to each other.

K. To an outside observer it all would have appeared to be totally random.

E. But, appearances can be deceiving. You need to climb a higher mountain to see what’s really going on.

K. It’s funny. The common wisdom is that the classic girl and boy “next door” fall in love because their parents happened to buy houses in the same neighborhood. And, for non-destined couples, this is probably true. It’s different for Twins, though. Strange to say - Twins don’t fall in love because they happened to live next door to each other, but they "happened" to live next door to each other because they were meant to fall in love.

E. That's a rather hard to accept sales-pitch.

K. I know, but it’s true.

E. And that’s why we were so lovey-dovey right from earliest years.

K. You wish.

E. At the surface of life, it could seem that we would have been better off not growing up next door to each other as it just made trouble for us.

K. But, in the movies, that’s how you know who’s gonna get married at the end.

E. We did have the “trouble” part nailed down pretty well, anyway.

K. It didn’t seem like “cosmic destiny unfolding” at the time, but, you know what? – I’m so glad we had those early years together. As time goes on, I cherish those memories more and more, and I know that when we finally make it to Summerland, we’re going to be very grateful that we had at least a short time together while on the “sorrowful planet.”

E. Yes, I know you’re right. And the benefit will be even more than shared experience. We were being “set up” for our future lives as Twins right from the start. I sense the hand of Universal Intelligence guiding us all the way along. It wasn’t always “pretty” for us, but then, difficult assignments and hard classrooms aren’t meant to be a pleasure ride.

K. We’ll have plenty of that in the next world. First things first.

How do Spirit Guides know that two children will grow up to be eternal mates?

The following is channeled testimony from the other side, an excerpt from Charlotte Dresser’s book “Life Here And HereAfter.”

"We have many times been told that everyone on earth attracted some spirit who tried to influence and guide their charge through all the vicissitudes of the earth life. This caused us to ask if even a criminal had such a guide.

“Yes, always. All have guides. But it is sometimes difficult for the guides to impress their charges. Usually in such cases there is more than one guide and influence. It would be very difficult for anyone with high spirit-development to be obliged to stay near an ignorant and coarse-grained individual.”

"Is one’s guide always present?"

“That is not necessary. In the first place, a guide, to be a true guide, will know the character, the possibilities, in the life of his charge. These will be like a chart to inform him when and where he is needed.

"To be constantly with one mortal life would interfere with the progress of the spirit, and it would not be well for the mortal to be so guided. We do not stay with you all of the time, as you know. But faithful watchers let us know immediately if we are needed.”

"Is this true with others?"

“Yes, this is always so. A guide, to be a true guide, must advance, must grow spiritually, must have much knowledge and quick perception, and must endeavor to lead the human soul to higher planes. This he could not well do if his own life and education were stationary.”

Notice, the advanced Guide is able to read the quantum “possibilities” of the two proto-lovers like reading a “chart.” The vibrational essence of each, as they interact, make the two an open book concerning later-in-life affinity. The determination by Guides of the identities of two as destined couple, I suspect, will be rather obvious. Their energies will “match,” and only two in the universe will do so in this way. This is why they’re called “Twin Souls.”

like a farcical dream in which nothing can be made to go right

In the “What We Stay Alive For” essay, featured on the home and on the “Marriage” pages, I employed the phrase “like a farcical dream in which nothing can be made to go right.”

Many might assume that if you think you know who your true mate is, there should be special help from heaven for you two to be together. Actually, I think it’s the opposite; that is, in the short term. There are so many lessons to be learned by being apart right now that the Spirit Guides, who superintend these unions-in-the-making, will not let you be together. And no matter how hard you try, nothing will work out right now.

Allow me to reprint from the “The Wedding Song: Introduction” page, an inset box featuring Lana and Clark. Note well, farther down the writing, how they went through a phase during which nothing went right for them. This was not by accident. No one can be that unlucky over long periods of time - even a stopped clock, as they say, is right at least twice a day. But the Guides work overtime to make sure that destined ones get their full money’s worth of difficult lessons down here on the “sorrowful planet.”

Smallville, season 1, episode 5

Clark comments that he'd grown up with Lana, on adjacent farms, just one mile apart. Yet, he acknowledges, they don’t really know each other well. Does anyone. Even so, says Lana, Clark seems to be the only one who understands her -- a truth admitted but too-easily discarded. Clark loves Lana but, in his non-flashy way, has not been able to tell her. Lana now circulates in a different orbit as one of the leading figures in a vacuous high school "Hollywood" culture. And, in blatant "sin against true romance," muting the inner-whispering of her deeper person, she has chosen to be with someone incommensurate with her nature.

Clark: (exasperated) “Why do you go out with him?”

Lana: (half-heartedly) “He’s there for me. He makes me feel safe.”

Lana doesn't get it. Right now she's too interested in being "chosen" and "accepted." She articulates the philosophical position of most women named Mary. It’s the famous “warm, safe, and dry” argument; it's worked out so well for adherents thereof. Soon she'll enter the ranks of Ann Landers’ “miserably married.” This Mary will wed in haste; and repent at leisure, over the coming decades. She'll discover the hard-edged reality, in sorrow and tears, of the Troubadour Guides’ dictum:

You’re not supposed to be with someone because he makes you feel safe or accepted; you’re supposed to prepare for, and wait for, that person, one particular person, who will lead you to "the joy" that makes you feel alive!

Even if he is a bit Clark-ish.

Editor’s note: In the “Cultism” article we learned that anything can be turned into a cult. It happens anytime a personal responsibility to face life courageously, to trust one's true self, is traded for a cheap promise by some “strong father-figure” to provide safety, risk-free passage, and certainty. Many, maybe most, of so-called marriages of this world fall somewhere within this untoward continuum.

more than drinking the koolaid

The long reach of cultism encompasses much more than crackpot churches. The root idea of cult offers the sense of "cut." This core concept of "cut" leads us to images of refinement and refashioning and, by extension, development, control, pattern, order, and system.

Cultism as systemization finds a ready home in religion and philosophy which seek to regulate and redistill the patterning and ordering of ideas. However, in a larger sense, the spirit of cultism extends to every facet of society. We find it scheming and sedulously at work in politics, academia, family, corporations, entertainment, science, artistry – anywhere power might be gained by capturing credulous and fear-based minds.

See the “cultism” page for a full discussion.

Mary, if she’s not very careful and “open eyed,” will do almost anything to be “accepted,” to find her sense of self-worth and significance by giving herself to some man. And John, in this dysfunctional “dance with the devil” dynamic, is all too willing to accommodate her fears, to rule over her, posturing himself as source of Mary’s emotional salvation. Well, it’s an old story and it’s had a long run, but little wonder that these ersatz marriages will not see transfer to Summerland.

Fate, destiny, and green-kryptonite meteor showers align against Lana and Clark. No matter the hidden intentions of their hearts, nothing goes right for them just now. It’s always something keeping them apart. They enter a time of out-of-phase love: he’s ready, but she’s not, then he’s with someone else, and now she’s on the outside looking in.

Lana: (wistfully) "Sometimes the right person can be right in front of your eyes, and you never even know it." (season 1, episode 19)

Amen, Lana. Our advice to her: Your eyes have their own x-ray vision, if you will only trust what you know to be true, on the deep-inside. In place since you were a little girl playing with Clark next door, you'll find your "constructive assent" guidance-system whispering to you; trust it.

be careful, Clark, you're not wearing your glasses, and she might realize your secret Twin-Soul identity; but a word of caution to Lana, too: watch out for those laconic, unpretentious farm boys – they’re the most dangerous
