Rescue-Effort in the Dark Realms:
the Most Difficult of all Service-Projects

Anthony Hopkins, Silence Of The Lambs

Some of the "creatures" encountered by Ruth and Benson were hardly human, so degenerate had they become.

But you will find that many of the denizens of those dark places might be more like Hannibal Lector. Very intelligent. Manipulative. Conniving. Expert at getting their own way.

If you have any weaknesses, these perverted spirits will instantly sense them. And they will start to work on you, and work you over. They will attempt to enflame the Small Ego.

The entrance requirements to Summerland are not that high. Many people living there are not necessarily so perfect. They are reasonably decent and "good," but by no means spiritual giants. Fundamentally, this means that the average person in Summerland has not yet discovered the "true self."

Without this level of enlightenment, if one were to travel to dark detention, even on a mission to help, the Hannibal Lectors of that world might begin to work on you in this way:

"I know what you did back then."

"You're no better than I am, are you!"

"You're not fooling anybody, we know what you're really like!"

"I know how you treated that person!"

"I know what you did when no one was looking!"

And they will try to wear you down, to enrage you; to make you doubt yourself; will try to solicit a sense of guilt and fear... and they will try to make you one of them.

Only an advanced spiritual entity will be strong enough to do "missionary work" in the Dark Realms. Only one who has gone through "the long dark night of the soul" will be able to smile at Hannibal and quietly say,

  • "Yes, all that you say is true. And I did some other things that you don't know about. But the person who did those things was not my True Self; nor is the angry person to whom I'm speaking your True Self. And when you are ready, I will help you to leave this place and discover a better way of thinking, just as I did - I will help you to become the good person who you really are."

Alive Inside may be close to the most inspiring film you'll ever see; possibly, the power of music could be employed to help people trapped in the Dark Realms

Music can heal the despairing soul as no other balm or medicinal agent. It might reawaken us to life and love lost, vivify the battered human spirit, offering hope of celestial tomorrows rooted in untapped human potential.

All this we sense to be true. But, even more, in recent years, one man has been engaged in a private crusade to bring music, the personal songs of one’s life, to dementia patients – with astonishingly wonderful results.

See the website: www.aliveinside.us

As I watched this documentary, it occured to me that, like dementia patients recapturing themselves, music might be used to help those in the Dark Realms regain sanity.
