The equation E=mc2 is not asking for an area, not “How many square feet?”

Its aim is not to arrive at a duration of time or a distance traveled, not "How many hours?" or "How many miles?"

E=mc2 is asking for a quantity of energy. It wants to know “How much energy is converted from a certain amount of matter?”
